Protecting the interests of students In recent years, we have given special consideration to student advocacy and their opportunities to have influence within the association. Student advocacy Unemployment Fund for Lawyers and Medical Practitioners (LL-Kassa) Membership of the Association of Finnish Lawyers does not automatically include membership in an unemployment fund. The Unemployment Fund for Lawyers and Medical Practitioners accepts students as members. Membership in the unemployment fund is useful if you are unable to find employment after graduation. If you are a member of the fund and you meet the condition regarding previous employment, you are entitled to an earnings-related unemployment allowance instead of the basic unemployment allowance or labour market subsidy paid by Kela. After graduation When you join your student association, you can choose whether your membership in the Association of Finnish Lawyers will automatically continue after graduation or not. If you choose to continue, your membership will continue without interruption. All the benefits and services available to regular members will be available to you as long as you remember to update your information with your graduation date. Update your information in the member portal. If you choose not to automatically continue your membership after graduation, your membership will end when you graduate. You can continue your membership by filling out the membership form in the member portal. Reduced membership fee Recent graduates are entitled to a reduced membership fee for three years from the date of graduation. You do not need to submit any proof of graduation.
