Complete the membership application Membership pays off Members of the Association of Finnish Lawyers form the largest community of lawyers in Finland. We contribute to ensuring that Finland is a fair and equitable country that offers equal access to justice for all. We are a unique community, even by international comparison, as we bring together an exceptionally wide range of lawyers working in different roles from specialists, supervisors and private practitioners to students and seniors. Our membership exceeds 16,000. Membership fees for 2024 €342 Membership fee of the Association of Finnish Lawyers Fee includes membership in the Unemployment Fund for Lawyers and Medical Practitioners (LL-Kassa). You need to join the unemployment fund separately. €192 Membership fee for recent graduates Recent graduates are entitled to a reduced membership fee for three years from the date of graduation. Fee includes membership in the Unemployment Fund for Lawyers and Medical Practitioners (LL-Kassa). You need to join the unemployment fund separately. €0 Free student membership Law students are entitled to free membership. You can pay your membership fee in one or three instalments. A separate invoice will be sent for each instalment. Membership fees for 2024 will be sent in instalments to members who paid their 2023 membership fee in several instalments. The due dates for membership fees are 15 February 2024, 15 May 2024 and 16 September 2024. If you want to change the amount shown on the membership fee invoice, please contact the membership register: jasenrekisteri@juristiliitto.fi. If you paid too much in 2023, any excess will be automatically taken into account in your 2024 membership invoice. Pay your membership fee on time to ensure full and uninterrupted access to services and membership benefits. For those who use online banking, we recommend e-invoice You can enable e-invoicing in your online bank. Contact your bank and sign an agreement. If you become a member mid-term, you pay the membership fee for the remaining full months (the unemployment fund contribution from the beginning of the first month of membership). If you terminate your membership, you will pay the membership fee until the end of the current month. The membership fee is tax deductible. Please check that the deduction has been registered in the pre-completed tax return sent by the tax authorities. Please note that non-payment of the membership fee is not considered a notice of termination. Are you a law student? If you are a law student, you need to contact your subject-specific student association to become a student member of the Association of Finnish Lawyers.
